How does RingCentral Call Whisper differ from Caller Display?
We are the only communications service provider that offers Call Controller—a desktop Call Whisper component. This allows you to control the call in real time. While the caller holds, a pop-up tool gives you three clickable options: take the call, reject the call, send it to your voicemail or send a text-to-speech reply. The text-to-speech reply works by letting you type a message in your Call Controller tool. Your auto-receptionist then translates the text to speech and states your message to the caller.
RingCentral Call Whisper feature also enables you to hear your callers’ names. When you know who your caller is, then you can choose from our options to handle the call. This helps you better manage your time.
If I’m on the road with my cell phone, how will I know who’s calling me?
Once your set up your system so you could have your callers state their names, those names will be broadcast over the phone. Afterward, the auto-receptionist will give your options on how to handle the call, which you can select by pressing a key on your phone.
How does Call Whisper work when I’m online?
When you receive a call or fax to your RingCentral number online, the Call Controller pop up tool gives you a list of options: take the call, reject it, send it to your voicemail or send a text-to-speech reply. This works when you type a reply and have it translated to speech and relayed to the caller.
What is Call Controller?
Call Controller is a unique screening component that you can only find with your RingCentral account. With this tool, you can take a real-time action on your call. (Refer to How does RingCentral’s Call Whisper feature differ from Caller Display? for more information.)
Can I block calls?
Yes you can. Just sign onto your online account and input the numbers or area codes that you want blocked.
