What is Real-Time Call Control?
Even before a call reaches you, you can actually “control” it and decide what you want to do with it—that’s what real-time call control means.
When a call comes in, the RingCentral Call Controller will pop up on your desktop and you’ll see the name and number of the caller on your Caller Display. If you’ve set up your system to prompt callers to announce their name, you’ll be able to hear their names over your PC speakers. Now as the caller holds, the Call Controller tool presents you with the options to reject it, transfer it to your voicemail or send your caller a text-to-speech message that will be broadcast by your IVR auto-receptionist. If you’re not on your PC, your IVR auto-receptionist will call your phone and present all but the last option. Then just a click button on your phone if you want to accept, reject, or send the call to your voicemail.
