Incoming callers will hear your auto-receptionist’s voice that states, “If you know the party…” or “Press 9 for the company directory.”
Once your caller presses the extension number, the auto-receptionist will ask the caller to input the first name of the person or the name of the department. The directory will then relay the name of the person or department and the extension number and connect the call to the extension.
Creating and managing your dial-by-name directory
Once you’ve created your extensions through the easy-to-use RingCentral tools, the setup will ask for the name of the department or employee who will receive the call. The caller will then be relayed the list of names and departments via the computer-generated voice of the auto-receptionist. To add extensions, just click one button and the extension will be added. You can also add and remove extensions in your directory with just one click.
