Gartner IT Symposium Xpo

In just a few days we’ll be heading to Barcelona to take part in one of the world’s biggest IT conferences. Will you be one of the 7,000+ attendees? Will you be the one who wins an Oculus Rift? Read on to find out.

From 3-7 November this year, the Centre Convencions Internacional Barcelona (CCIB) hosts the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo. Gartner is planning big things for the conference, laying on 450 sessions for their expected audience of thousands.

RingCentral is familiar with Gartner conferences, which is why we’re planning to be there in force throughout the week. We look forward to joining the sessions, presenting some of our own findings and experience, and listening to IT professionals from a range of different industries. It’s not a Mediterranean jolly!

In all seriousness, the symposium speaks directly to our business, as we constantly look for ways to bring value to our customers and offer solutions to our future clients. The symposium’s key themes of digital transformation, cloud and infrastructure, security, customer experience and future of work are common topics in our conversations with customers and partners.

As technological development accelerates, business needs to keep pace. IT executives have to keep abreast of trends and make the most of opportunities brought about by technological advances. Cloud storage, remote working, cryptographic transactions, machine learning – digitisation drives one shift after another. The challenge to business is to use these tools effectively, safely and sustainably, which requires an attitude of continuous learning and improvement in order to remain relevant.

As the nature of work changes, and connectivity and decentralisation become ever more critical, IT professionals faced with the need for scalable, flexible, and cost-effective options see cloud capability as the only solution able to support the rapidly changing needs of business and IT systems. In the dynamic world of telecommunications, RingCentral harnessed cloud capability to emerge as a market leader in cloud-based communications, handling large volumes of data transfer while delivering exceptional levels of service at 99.999% uptime.

As we attend the symposium to listen, learn and share ideas, we welcome you to change the way you think about digital leadership, business strategy, information and technology. For RingCentral and our customers, we see it as an opportunity to source the data-driven insights, tools and practical advice needed to improve productivity, enhance the customer experience, and grow revenue.

Besides attending as many learning sessions as possible, we’re also sending some of our top brains to lead some sessions of their own – look out for RingCentral heads talking about customer experience, collaborative communications and our strategic partnership with telecoms giant Avaya. Here’s what not to miss:

Monday, 4 November at 12:10 on IT Xpo Stage 1: John Finch, AVP Product Marketing, The Future of Customer Experience—It’s Here Today

Wednesday, 6 November at 10:00 in Room 115: Amrit Chaudhuri, SVP Product & Solutions Marketing, The New Avaya and RingCentral Strategic Partnership

As well as delivering the cream of the RingCentral stable, we’re also sponsoring a session by Miya Knights of Eagle Eye Solutions. Co-author of Omnichannel Retail – How to build winning stores in a digital world, Miya is a retail industry expert. Miya will discuss how to harness the power of digital and omnichannel experiences in physical stores, and will offer tips on how brands can deliver an instant, profitable bricks-and-mortar retail solution. The details of Miya’s appearance are as follows:

Sunday, 3 November at 11:45 in Room 116: Miya Knights, Head of Industry Insight at Eagle Eye Solutions, How to Make Omnichannel Profitable for Bricks and Clicks

One item of really big news to look out for is a detailed description of our recent agreement with Avaya to become an exclusive provider of UCaaS solutions. Avaya already has an extensive go-to-market ecosystem, and this partnership brings an exciting new product to Avaya’s portfolio. The Avaya Cloud Office will be built on RingCentral’s technology platform, allowing Avaya to offer best-in-class solutions to a customer base previously unexposed to RingCentral’s proposition.

From RingCentral’s point of view, access to one of the world’s largest UC installed bases of over 100 million users is a huge opportunity. As a leader in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for unified communications as a service on a global scale, RingCentral is uniquely qualified to offer Avaya customers an enhanced communications service without having to go through a painful and complex transition between providers. Thus, this key strategic partnership works to the strengths of both providers, with the benefits enjoyed by the customer.

How you can win an Oculus Rift: on Wednesday morning in Room 115, SVP for Product & Solutions Marketing Amrit Chaudhuri will tell the story of RingCentral’s strategic partnership with Avaya. Make sure you attend the talk – and don’t forget your business cards. After the talk, as you’re leaving the room and messaging one of your IT staff to schedule a call with one of the RingCentral partnership managers, don’t forget to drop your business card at our collection point. We’ll draw one lucky winner from the hat at the end of the conference.

RingCentral will also be exhibiting at stand 508, where you can come and talk to us about anything from the weather in Barcelona to implementing call centre interaction analytics – nothing is off the table. We’d love to hear about your business challenges and maybe even work on a few potential solutions with you. We’ve put details of RingCentral’s participation in Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo online – make sure you bookmark the page so it’s easy to come back to. Ens veiem a Barcelona!
