Why RingCentral

RingCentral launches into UK with cloud-based business communications

28 October, 2013 - London, UK – RingCentral, Inc. (NYSE: RNG) The US market leader in cloud communications has launched it's award winning business phone system in the UK.  RingCentral Office is designed for today’s distributed workforce and connects staff on their smartphones, tablets and desktop phones, wherever they are, in the office, at home or while travelling.

With over 300,000 businesses using its cloud platform, RingCentral is disrupting the communications landscape.  It's cloud-based phone system is easy to buy, manage and use, and it enables businesses to optimise calls, fax, and conferencing across all their locations - all without having to purchase and deploy expensive on-premise hardware.  RingCentral supports traditional desktop phones, as well as iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. It also integrates seamlessly with other cloud solutions such as salesforce.com, Box, Dropbox, and Google.

“Communication is the life-blood of businesses, but traditional on-premise phone systems were not designed for the new way of work.   Staff don’t work a traditional 9am to 5pm day tied to a office desk anymore” said Vlad Shmunis, CEO, Founder and Chairman of the Board at RingCentral. “Today, customers expect instant communication and personalised customer service round the clock, while employees need the flexibility to use communication devices of their choice from any location they choose to work.  At RingCentral, we connect people, not devices. We aim to make enterprise functionality available to businesses of all sizes, and give them a competitive edge by providing the tools for seamless communications wherever they are, and whenever they want.”
Research from IDC has found that 86 per cent of companies in the UK have mobile workers and a recent survey from YouGov claims that 93% of the British workforce work from home for part of the week.
With the rise of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), the RingCentral mobile app turns smartphones and tablets into fully functional business communication devices.   With no capital equipment or hardware maintenance costs, the all-inclusive monthly pricing plan gives businesses improved flexibility along with the benefit of low, predictable costs.

Companies like Fargo Systems, a supplier of specialised transport and logistics software, is using RingCentral to improve customer communications and link three of its depots to a single cloud phone system. Thanks to RingCentral’s solution, the company is able to better manage flexible working, with staff taking advantage of the voicemail to email functionality while travelling. The company is also improving customer service with the ability for its consultants to promptly answer and route calls from 1200 users in 15 countries.
