RingCentral International Gives Back This Holiday Season

As we reach the end of 2021, there’s no better time to consider all we have in our lives. It’s been another difficult year for a lot of people, which is why we‘re chuffed to be part of a team supporting those in need.

Across the RingCentral international team, we love giving back to communities and charities that help people all over. Throughout the year, we run plenty of events to raise awareness of the issues and causes closest to us.

Here’s a roundup of the activities we’ve been up to in December.

Christmas Jumper Day

We’d never miss the chance to wear our favourite Christmas jumpers in aid of Save the Children. On Friday, 10th December, we supported the charity that makes an incredible impact on the lives of children worldwide.

Any RingCentral employee who still wants to take part can text TEAMRCUK2021 to 70050. This automatically donates £2 to Save the Children. RingCentral will also be matching donations. The money will help the organisation change children’s lives in different countries worldwide through things like food and essential supplies, healthcare and psychosocial support, education programmes and early learning centres.

Run, Santa, run!

Next up, the Santa Run kicked off yesterday, with RingCentral employees all over the world taking part. This is part of the Global Relay series that RingCentral’s Chris Holt and Harvey Needham launched last year.  Initially, a one-off activity to build morale, make connections and encourage physical and mental health, the relay grew into a regular event. Employees go for a half-hour run or walk, then pass the relay baton virtually to the next colleague by posting in a dedicated group chat. All in aid of a different charity each month.

Donating to causes

Last but not least, this festive season, we donated $15,000 to UNICEF, the world’s leading organisation working to protect and improve the lives of every child in over 190 countries.

Our donation to UNICEF will go directly to general missions providing health care, immunisations, safe water, emergency relief, education, protection and more to children and young people every day across the globe. Feel free to check out what UNICEF does around the world here

Happy Holidays

All of these activities create that feeling of togetherness. In a world that’s still reeling, it’s so important to carry on making this effort. We’re proud of how RingCentral employees internationally get so involved and enthusiastic about giving back. Here’s to a brilliant holiday season!
