What is G-Cloud 10 and what does it mean to RingCentral users?
The G-Cloud framework is a UK government initiative designed to simplify the process of procurement for public sector entities across the UK. Created through a partnership between the Crown Commercial Service and the Government Digital Service, G-Cloud 10 is part of the UK government’s Digital Marketplace.
The tenth version of the G-Cloud portal was originally announced in March 2018, and the CSS agreed to start accepting bids from suppliers in April 2018. Since introducing the first G-Cloud iteration in 2012, the government has invested almost £3 billion on the system with 48% of that spend dedicated to small and mid-sized enterprises. The tenth version of G-Cloud was launched to meet the demands of new suppliers and refresh services for current providers.
